IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS
Why this applies to Beclomethasone
Beclomethasone falls under IMMUNOSUPPRESSANTS — the group Ipriflavone interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to know if you take an inhaled steroid like Beclomethasone (Beclovent, Vanceril) and you're thinking about ipriflavone. The concern isn't about how your body breaks down the inhaler. It's that ipriflavone can quietly lower white blood cell counts in some people, and corticosteroids can also dampen the immune system. Put together, the worry is an additive effect that leaves your defenses a little lower than either would alone.
Now, inhaled beclomethasone delivers a fairly low, localized dose to the airways, so the body-wide immune effect is usually small. Still, the database flags this as a real interaction backed by good evidence, so it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, especially if you ever feel run-down or catch infections easily.

“Most people on beclomethasone (Beclovent, Vanceril) use it daily to keep asthma or nasal allergies quiet, and plenty also take herbal products, which is where this list earns real caution. Of the 202 ingredients on this page, four rate major, and those deserve your attention ahead of everything else.”

About Ipriflavone
What is Ipriflavone?
- Bone density and osteoporosis
- Postmenopausal bone loss
- Athletic performance
- Tinnitus related to bone disorders
Ipriflavone is a synthetic isoflavone studied mainly for bone health and osteoporosis, but high-quality research has not shown that it reliably prevents fractures or builds strong bone. Because it can lower white blood cell counts in some people and its long-term safety is not well established, talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation
What Is Beclomethasone Oral Inhalation Used For?
Brand names: Beclovent, Vanceril
Beclomethasone dipropionate HFA inhalation aerosol (brand: Qvar Redihaler) is used for the ongoing, daily management of asthma in adults and children 5 years of age and older. It is a preventive (maintenance) therapy — not a rescue inhaler — meaning it helps control asthma over time rather than treating sudden symptoms.
Important: Qvar Redihaler is not for the relief of sudden asthma attacks or acute bronchospasm. Always keep a separate fast-acting (rescue) inhaler on hand for those moments.
