Here's the gist for metoclopramide (Gimoti): one of its known side effects is feeling drowsy or mentally sluggish, since it can act on the brain. The concern on file is that jackfruit seeds might add a little to that sleepy effect, so in theory the two together could leave you more tired, foggy, or slowed down than either alone.

I want to be straight with you though, this is based only on animal research, not human studies, so it's a fairly weak, theoretical worry. Eating jackfruit as a regular fruit is very unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated seed supplements are the bigger question mark. If you want to use those, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Metoclopramide Nasal Spray Used For?

Brand name: Gimoti

Gimoti (metoclopramide nasal spray) is approved for adults with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis — a condition where diabetes damages the nerves controlling stomach emptying, causing nausea, vomiting, and bloating. It works to relieve those symptoms by helping the stomach empty more normally.

Gimoti is not recommended for children, or for adults with moderate to severe kidney or liver disease. It is also not recommended for adults taking strong CYP2D6 inhibitor medications (certain antidepressants and other drugs that slow how the body breaks down metoclopramide).
