Here's the gist for Cetirizine (Zyrtec). Even though it's a newer, less drowsy antihistamine, it can still make some people feel a little tired or foggy. The concern on file is that jackfruit seeds might add to that sleepy effect, so together you could feel more drowsy than you'd expect from either one alone.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is: the sedation was only seen in animal studies, not in people, so it's really more of a theoretical caution. Eating jackfruit as a regular fruit is very unlikely to be a problem. A concentrated seed supplement is where I'd pay more attention. If you take both and notice extra grogginess, just loop in your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Cetirizine Injection Used For?

Brand names: Cetirizine, Zyrtec, Quzyttir

Quzyttir (cetirizine injection) is approved to treat acute urticaria — a sudden outbreak of hives — in adults and in children 6 months of age and older. It is given by intravenous (IV) injection in a medically supervised setting.

Quzyttir is not recommended for children under 6 years of age who have impaired kidney or liver function.
