Bromfenac Sodium falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Jackfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, jackfruit latex might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Jackfruit latex, which is the sap from jackfruit bark, contains chemicals that might increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro research shows that jackfruit latex contains a glycoprotein constituent that prolongs the activated partial thrombin time (aPTT) and reduces the activity of blood coagulation factors XIa and alpha-XIIa. Jackfruit latex also contains a protease constituent that has been shown to have fibrinolytic activity in vitro. Other parts of jackfruit, including the fruit and leaves, have not been shown to contain chemicals with fibrinolytic and anticoagulant activity.

Here's the good news on this one. Bromfenac (Prolensa, Bromsite) is an eye drop you use after cataract surgery, and only a tiny amount gets into your bloodstream. The bleeding concern with jackfruit comes specifically from jackfruit latex, the sap from the bark, not from the fruit you eat or a typical supplement. That latex contains compounds that, in lab studies only, slowed blood clotting. There are no human studies showing this actually happens.

Because bromfenac is an NSAID applied to the eye, any real-world bleeding overlap here is very small. Still, if you regularly use concentrated jackfruit bark products or notice unusual bruising or bleeding around the eye, mention it to your pharmacist or surgeon. Eating jackfruit as a food is not a worry.
