Glipizide, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Jackfruit interacts with.

Theoretically, jackfruit might increase the risk of hypoglycemia when taken with antidiabetes drugs.
Small clinical studies show that jackfruit flour and leaf extract can reduce fasting and postprandial blood glucose. Monitor blood glucose levels closely. Dose adjustments might be necessary.

Here's the simple version: Metaglip is a combination of glipizide and metformin, and both work to lower your blood sugar. Glipizide does it by pushing your body to release more insulin, while metformin helps your body use insulin better. Jackfruit, especially as concentrated flour or leaf extract, has shown in small studies that it can nudge blood sugar down on its own.

Put them together and you could get a little extra lowering than you bargained for. That raises the chance of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia): think shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling confused. This is mostly theoretical, and eating jackfruit as a normal fruit is unlikely to cause trouble. Concentrated supplements are the bigger concern. Keep an eye on your readings and check with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
