Here's the simple version: Clorazepate (Tranxene) is a benzodiazepine that calms the brain, which is why it can leave you feeling drowsy, relaxed, or a little foggy. The concern on file is that jackfruit seeds might add to that sleepy effect, so stacking the two could mean more drowsiness, dizziness, or slowed thinking than you'd expect from your medicine alone.

I want to be honest about how solid this is, though. This warning comes only from animal research, not studies in people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Eating jackfruit as a normal food is very unlikely to cause trouble. The bigger question would be concentrated jackfruit seed products. If you're considering one of those, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Clorazepate Used For?

Brand names: Tranxene, Tranxene T-Tab, Tranxene SD

Clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used to manage anxiety disorders or to provide short-term relief of anxiety symptoms. They are also used as an add-on (adjunctive) therapy alongside other medications to help control partial seizures in adults and children aged 9 and older.

In addition, clorazepate dipotassium tablets are used for symptomatic relief during acute alcohol withdrawal — helping to ease the physical symptoms that can occur when someone suddenly stops drinking.
