Here's the bottom line with Triazolam (Halcion) and jackfruit. Triazolam is a benzodiazepine sleep aid that already slows down brain activity to help you fall asleep. The concern on file is that jackfruit seeds might add a little extra sedation on top of that, so theoretically the two together could make you feel more drowsy, groggy, or unsteady than usual, with next-morning grogginess or trouble waking up.

I want to keep this in perspective, though. This is only based on animal studies, not solid human evidence, and eating jackfruit as a regular food is very unlikely to cause a problem. Concentrated seed products are the bigger question mark. Before adding any jackfruit supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor.

What Is Triazolam Used For?

Brand names: Halcion, Triazo, Apo-Triazo, Gen-Triazolam, Mylan-Triazolam, Novo-Triolam, Nu-Triazo

Triazolam tablets are approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia in adults. Treatment is generally intended for 7 to 10 days. Halcion (a brand of triazolam) is specifically indicated for this same short-term use in adults.

Using triazolam for more than 2 to 3 weeks requires a full re-evaluation by your doctor to rule out an underlying medical or psychiatric condition driving the sleep problem.
