Here's the thing to keep in mind with Aleve PM: the diphenhydramine half is already an antihistamine that makes you sleepy on its own, which is exactly why it's the "PM" part of this product. The concern on file is that concentrated jackfruit seed products might add to that drowsiness. So in theory, the two together could leave you feeling more groggy, foggy, dizzy, or slow to react than usual.

Honestly, this is based only on animal research, so it's a soft, theoretical signal rather than something proven in people. Eating jackfruit as a regular food is very unlikely to cause a problem. If you're thinking about a concentrated jackfruit seed supplement, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor first, and don't drive until you know how the combo affects you.

Theoretically, jackfruit latex might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Jackfruit latex, which is the sap from jackfruit bark, contains chemicals that might increase the risk of bleeding. In vitro research shows that jackfruit latex contains a glycoprotein constituent that prolongs the activated partial thrombin time (aPTT) and reduces the activity of blood coagulation factors XIa and alpha-XIIa. Jackfruit latex also contains a protease constituent that has been shown to have fibrinolytic activity in vitro. Other parts of jackfruit, including the fruit and leaves, have not been shown to contain chemicals with fibrinolytic and anticoagulant activity.

Here's the thing to know about Aleve PM: one of its ingredients, naproxen, is an NSAID that already nudges up your bleeding risk on its own. It can thin the blood a little, irritate the stomach lining, and raise the chance of bruising or stomach bleeding. So this interaction is about adding two things that can affect clotting in the same direction.

Now, the bleeding concern is tied to jackfruit latex (the sticky sap from the bark), not the fruit you eat. And the evidence is only from lab studies, so it's theoretical, not proven in people. Eating jackfruit as a food is very unlikely to matter here. Still, if you're using a concentrated jackfruit product, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you notice unusual bruising, dark stools, or stomach pain.
