Here's the basic idea with this pairing. Marsh Labrador tea has been noted to deepen the calming, sedating effects of things that slow down your brain, like alcohol and barbiturates. Morphine sits in that same camp of central nervous system depressants. So in theory, combining the two could leave you more drowsy, foggy, dizzy, or unsteady than morphine alone, and in a worst case it could weigh on your breathing.

I'll be honest with you though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these substances act, not something proven in solid human studies. Morphine isn't a prodrug, so this isn't about changing how your body activates it, it's just two sedating things stacking up. Since morphine is already a powerful medicine, I'd skip the marsh Labrador tea (which carries its own toxicity risks) and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
