Here's the simple version: noni juice may gently lower blood pressure on its own. Perindopril (Aceon) is already working hard to bring your pressure down, so adding noni could nudge your numbers a little lower than expected. When the two stack up, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, or tired, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. This is mostly theoretical and based on small, early research, so it's not a strong or certain interaction. Most folks won't run into trouble, but if you decide to try noni regularly, it's worth keeping an eye on your blood pressure readings. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before starting it, and don't change your perindopril dose on your own.

Noni juice contains significant amounts of potassium, about 6 mEq/100 mL juice. This may increase the risk for hyperkalemia when used in conjunction with ACE inhibitors, which can also increase potassium levels.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with noni and perindopril. Perindopril is an ACE inhibitor, and one quirk of this whole drug family is that it tends to nudge your potassium level up a bit. Noni juice happens to be fairly rich in potassium (roughly 6 mEq per 100 mL), so drinking a lot of it on top of your blood pressure medicine could stack potassium higher than is comfortable.

If potassium climbs too far (a state called hyperkalemia), it can cause muscle weakness, tingling, or in rare cases an irregular heartbeat. To be fair, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on weak, anecdotal evidence, so an occasional glass is unlikely to be a problem for most people. But if your kidneys aren't perfect or you also take a potassium-sparing diuretic, the risk goes up. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before making noni a regular habit.

What Is Perindopril Used For?

Perindopril Erbumine tablets are used to treat essential hypertension (high blood pressure). They can be used alone or combined with other blood pressure medicines, particularly thiazide diuretics.

Perindopril Erbumine tablets are also used in adults with stable coronary artery disease to lower the risk of dying from a cardiovascular cause or having a nonfatal heart attack. They can be used alongside other standard coronary artery disease treatments such as antiplatelet, blood pressure, or cholesterol-lowering therapy.
