Insulin Glargine Recombinant falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Padang Cassia interacts with.

Here's the simple version: Toujeo (insulin glargine) is your long-acting background insulin, and its whole job is to lower blood sugar. Some lower-quality studies suggest cassia cinnamon, including Padang cassia, can nudge blood sugar down a little on its own. So if you take a concentrated cinnamon supplement on top of your insulin, the two effects can stack, and you could drift toward low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded.

The evidence here is modest and the effect is usually mild, so don't panic. Sprinkling cinnamon on your oatmeal is not a concern. If you're thinking about a daily cinnamon capsule, check with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep monitoring your readings rather than changing your insulin on your own.
