Glasdegib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Passion Flower interacts with.

Theoretically, passion flower might decrease the effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research suggests that passion flower can induce CYP3A4 enzymes, albeit to a much lower degree than rifampin, a known CYP3A4 inducer.

Here's the gist for Glasdegib (Daurismo): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to break it down. Lab studies hint that passion flower may gently speed that enzyme up. If that happened in real life, your body could clear Glasdegib a little faster, which in theory might make it slightly less effective at fighting your leukemia. That matters because this is serious cancer treatment, not a drug you want working at less than full strength.

I want to be honest about the evidence though. This is only based on test-tube research, and even there passion flower was a much weaker enzyme booster than known strong inducers. So the real-world risk is likely small. Still, while you're on Glasdegib, please run any passion flower (or sleep and anxiety supplement) past your oncology team or pharmacist first.

What Is Glasdegib Used For?

Brand name: Daurismo

Daurismo (glasdegib) is approved to treat newly-diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) — a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. It is used specifically in adults who are 75 years of age or older, or in adults of any age whose other health conditions make intensive induction chemotherapy too risky.

Daurismo is not used alone. It is always given together with low-dose cytarabine, a separate chemotherapy medicine, as part of a 28-day treatment cycle.
