Homatropine Methylbromide, Hydrocodone falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Pinellia Ternata interacts with.

Evidence from animal research shows that a Pinellia ternata preparation decreases activity and increases sleeping time. Theoretically, Pinellia ternata can potentiate the therapeutic effect of CNS depressants. Some of these medications include antihistamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and others.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with Hycodan or Tussigon: the hydrocodone part is an opioid, which already slows down your brain and body. Pinellia ternata appears, at least in animal studies, to have its own calming, sedative-like effect. So if you put the two together, the worry is that they add up and push you deeper into drowsiness than you'd expect.

In real life that could look like extra sleepiness, foggy thinking, dizziness, and in larger amounts, slower breathing. I'll be honest, though, this is based on lab and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Still, since both can sedate you, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them.
