Lofepramine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Pinellia Ternata interacts with.

Evidence from animal research shows that a Pinellia ternata preparation decreases activity and increases sleeping time. Theoretically, Pinellia ternata can potentiate the therapeutic effect of CNS depressants. Some of these medications include antihistamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, tricyclic antidepressants, and others.

Lofepramine is a tricyclic antidepressant, and like others in that family it can already make you feel drowsy, foggy, or a bit sedated, especially when you first start it. The concern here is simple addition: in animal studies, a Pinellia ternata preparation lowered activity and lengthened sleep time, suggesting it has a calming, sedating quality of its own. Stack that on top of lofepramine and you might feel sleepier or slower than usual.

Keep in mind this is theoretical, drawn from lab and animal work rather than people, so it may not amount to much in real life. Still, since Pinellia is usually used under a practitioner's guidance, mention to your pharmacist or doctor that you take lofepramine before combining them, and watch for extra drowsiness.
