Chlorpheniramine, Pyrilamine, Phenylephrine falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Psilocybin interacts with.

Theoretically, combining psilocybin with serotonergic drugs might cause additive serotonergic effects.
Psilocybin has serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonist activity. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with psilocybin might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Your Duphrene combo contains chlorpheniramine (an antihistamine), pyrilamine (another antihistamine), and phenylephrine (a decongestant). Chlorpheniramine has mild effects on serotonin, so on paper, pairing it with psilocybin could add up and slightly raise the chance of serotonin-related symptoms, things like agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shakiness, or feeling overheated. This concern is theoretical, based on how the drugs work, and it has not actually been reported in people.

Honestly, the bigger point is that psilocybin is investigational and not legal in most places, and it should only ever be used in a supervised clinical study. If that ever comes up, please tell the supervising team about every medicine you take, including this cold and allergy product. When in doubt, your pharmacist or doctor can help you sort it out.

Here's the piece that matters in your combo product: phenylephrine is a stimulant-type decongestant. On its own it can bump up heart rate, raise blood pressure, and leave you feeling jittery or wired. Psilocybin also revs up the nervous system, so pairing the two could stack those effects and make a racing heart, restlessness, anxiety, or higher blood pressure more likely.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern. It's theoretical, based on how both substances behave, not on solid studies in people. Neither chlorpheniramine nor pyrilamine (the antihistamines here) is the worry. Also keep in mind psilocybin isn't legal or approved, and shouldn't be used outside a supervised study. If you're ever considering it, please talk it through with your doctor or pharmacist first.
