Prucalopride falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Psilocybin interacts with.

Theoretically, combining psilocybin with serotonergic drugs might cause additive serotonergic effects.
Psilocybin has serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonist activity. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with psilocybin might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist: prucalopride (Motegrity) works by stimulating serotonin receptors in your gut to keep things moving, while psilocybin turns into psilocin and stimulates serotonin receptors in your brain. Because both touch the serotonin system, putting them together could theoretically stack up serotonin activity in your body.

I want to be honest about how soft this concern is. It's a theoretical worry based on how these two work on paper, and it has never actually been reported in people. If it did happen, signs of too much serotonin can include agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shivering, or muscle twitching. Setting that aside, psilocybin itself is investigational and illegal in most places. Please don't mix anything without checking with your doctor or pharmacist first.

About Prucalopride

What Is Prucalopride Used For?

Brand names: Resotran, Resolor, Motegrity

Prucalopride tablets — sold under the brand name Motegrity and also available as generic prucalopride and prucalopride succinate — are indicated for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults. CIC is ongoing constipation with no identified underlying cause.

This indication applies to all approved oral tablet forms of prucalopride. It is not approved for use in children; a study in pediatric patients was stopped early because the medication did not show effectiveness in that age group.
