Metoclopramide Hydrochloride falls under SEROTONERGIC DRUGS — the group Psilocybin interacts with.

Theoretically, combining psilocybin with serotonergic drugs might cause additive serotonergic effects.
Psilocybin has serotonin 2A (5-HT2A) receptor agonist activity. Theoretically, combining serotonergic drugs with psilocybin might increase the risk of serotonergic side effects, including serotonin syndrome. However, this interaction has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for metoclopramide (Gimoti). On its own, this drug nudges your serotonin system a bit while it speeds up stomach emptying. Psilocybin, the active part of certain mushrooms, turns into psilocin in the body and acts strongly on serotonin receptors. Stacking two things that both push on serotonin could, in theory, add up and raise the small chance of serotonin-related trouble, like agitation, a racing heart, sweating, shivering, muscle twitching, or feeling confused.

I want to be honest: this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds work, and it hasn't actually been reported in people. Still, psilocybin is unpredictable and illegal in most places. Please talk with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing anything with metoclopramide.

What Is Metoclopramide Nasal Spray Used For?

Brand name: Gimoti

Gimoti (metoclopramide nasal spray) is approved for adults with acute and recurrent diabetic gastroparesis — a condition where diabetes damages the nerves controlling stomach emptying, causing nausea, vomiting, and bloating. It works to relieve those symptoms by helping the stomach empty more normally.

Gimoti is not recommended for children, or for adults with moderate to severe kidney or liver disease. It is also not recommended for adults taking strong CYP2D6 inhibitor medications (certain antidepressants and other drugs that slow how the body breaks down metoclopramide).
