Clomipramine falls under TRICYCLIC ANTIDEPRESSANTS (TCAs) — the group Pu-erh Tea interacts with.

Theoretically, TCAs might bind with pu-erh tea constituents when taken at the same time.
In vitro research suggests that the tannins in pu-erh tea might cause precipitation of TCAs. However, this effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for clomipramine (Anafranil) and pu-erh tea: this isn't about the tea speeding up or slowing down how your body processes the medicine. Instead, the concern is purely a physical one. Pu-erh tea is rich in tannins, and in test-tube studies those tannins can bind to tricyclic antidepressants like clomipramine and make them clump together. In theory, that could mean a bit less of your dose gets absorbed if you swallow them at the exact same moment.

The reassuring part: this has only been seen in the lab, never reported in actual people, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. If you want to play it safe, just separate your clomipramine and your cup of pu-erh by an hour or two. Any questions about timing, your pharmacist is happy to help.
