Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDEPRESSANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Amoxapine
Amoxapine falls under ANTIDEPRESSANT DRUGS — the group Rhodiola interacts with.
A review of adverse event reports in Poland identified cases of tachyarrhythmias, myalgia, arthralgia, gum pain, restless leg syndrome, swallowing disorders, and changes in consciousness when rhodiola was taken in combination with paroxetine, escitalopram, fluoxetine, sertraline, trazodone, and/or duloxetine.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
If you're taking amoxapine (Asendin) and thinking about adding rhodiola, here's the honest picture. This is a theoretical concern backed only by scattered anecdotal reports, mostly involving newer antidepressants rather than amoxapine itself. The worry is that rhodiola may nudge brain chemicals like serotonin in the same direction your antidepressant already does, which could add up.
With a tricyclic like amoxapine, the side effects to keep an eye on would be its usual ones: a faster or irregular heartbeat, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, or feeling unusually wired or jittery. The evidence here is weak, so don't panic, but please don't start rhodiola on your own. Run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Amoxapine page
“Amoxapine (Asendin) is an older tricyclic antidepressant, and its supplement list deserves real care. Three of the 68 ingredients on file are rated major: activated charcoal can soak up the drug before your body gets it, lithium raises the risk of serotonin syndrome (a dangerous serotonin overload), and scopolia piles onto amoxapine's…”

- Physical and exercise performance
Rhodiola is an herb traditionally used to fight fatigue and help the body cope with stress. Amoxapine Is Linked to Lower Levels of 3 Nutrients
Natural Medicines records Amoxapine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Rhodiola — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
