Beyaz combines drospirenone, ethinyl estradiol, and levomefolate (a form of folate) in a birth control pill. The piece that connects to rooibos is the estrogen part, since some of it is handled by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In test-tube studies, concentrated rooibos extract slowed this enzyme down a little, which in theory could let estrogen levels nudge upward and bring slightly more of the usual estrogen-related effects, like nausea, breast tenderness, headaches, or bloating.

Here's my honest take: this is very weak, lab-only evidence, and a normal cup or two of rooibos tea is unlikely to cause any real problem. If you're regularly using strong rooibos extract supplements, that's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on you.

Beyaz combines a few hormones, and one of them (ethinyl estradiol) is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. Some lab studies suggest that strong rooibos extracts may slow that enzyme down. In theory, slowing it could let estrogen levels drift a little higher, which might mean more of the usual estrogen-related complaints like nausea, breast tenderness, bloating, or headaches.

Here's the reassuring part: this is based only on test-tube and animal research, not on people, and a normal cup or two of rooibos tea is very unlikely to matter. The concern, if any, would be with concentrated rooibos extract capsules. If you're using those regularly, just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up so they can keep an eye on things.
