Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Medroxyprogesterone Acetate, Oestrogens, Conjugated
Medroxyprogesterone Acetate, Oestrogens, Conjugated falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Rooibos interacts with.
In vitro research shows that the methanol extract of rooibos leaves and stems strongly inhibits CYP3A4 enzyme activity.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Your Premique combines conjugated estrogens with medroxyprogesterone, and both hormones are partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In a test-tube study, a concentrated rooibos extract blocked that enzyme. If that happened in the body, your hormone levels could drift a little higher, which in theory might mean more of the usual effects like breast tenderness, bloating, nausea, headaches, or spotting.
Here is the reassuring part: this is based only on lab work, not on people drinking the tea, and a normal cup of rooibos is very unlikely to cause trouble. The bigger question would be concentrated rooibos extracts or capsules. Before starting any of those, just run it by your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on things.

Rooibos is a caffeine-free herbal tea from South Africa that is rich in antioxidants and generally considered safe as a beverage.
