Let's talk about your Byvalson, which combines nebivolol (a beta blocker) with valsartan (a blood pressure pill). The nebivolol part is cleared from your body partly by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. In test-tube studies, concentrated rooibos extract seemed to slow that same enzyme down a bit. If that happened in real life, nebivolol could build up slightly, which might mean a lower heart rate, more dizziness or lightheadedness, or feeling unusually tired.

Here's the reassuring part: this is only based on lab research, not on people, so it's theoretical. A regular cup or two of rooibos tea is very unlikely to cause a problem. Concentrated rooibos supplements are where I'd be more cautious. If you use those, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

Here's the gist with Byvalson, which combines nebivolol (a beta-blocker) and valsartan (a blood pressure medicine). One of its ingredients is partly handled by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In lab dish studies, rooibos extract slowed that enzyme down a bit. If that happened in your body, the drug could linger longer and its effects could be a touch stronger.

In real terms, that might mean a little more blood-pressure lowering than expected, so think dizziness, lightheadedness, tiredness, or a slow pulse. But honestly, this is only test-tube evidence, not proven in people, and a normal cup or two of rooibos tea is very unlikely to matter. Concentrated extracts are the bigger question mark. If you use those, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
