Theoretically, taking tree turmeric along with antihypertensive drugs might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can have hypotensive effects. Also, a meta-analysis of clinical research suggests that taking berberine in combination with amlodipine (Norvasc) can lower systolic and diastolic blood pressure when compared with taking amlodipine alone.

Here's the gist: your Ziac already lowers blood pressure two ways. Bisoprolol is a beta-blocker that slows the heart and eases its workload, and hydrochlorothiazide is a water pill that helps your body shed extra fluid and salt. Tree turmeric, mostly because of its berberine, may gently nudge blood pressure down too. Stack them together and those effects could add up.

If your pressure drops too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint when standing up. Honestly, this is mostly based on animal and early studies, so it's not a strong warning, but it's worth a heads-up. Don't change anything on your own. Just check with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings.

Ziac combines two medicines: bisoprolol, a beta blocker that slows your heart and lowers blood pressure, and hydrochlorothiazide, a water pill. The piece that matters here is bisoprolol, which is partly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP2D6. Berberine, the active compound in tree turmeric, may slow that enzyme down a bit. In theory, that could let bisoprolol build up slightly, nudging its effects stronger.

What might that feel like? Possibly a slower heart rate, lightheadedness, unusual tiredness, or blood pressure dropping a little more than expected. To be honest, this is mostly lab and early evidence, not a proven problem, so I wouldn't panic. Still, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor before adding the supplement.
