Linagliptin, Metformin Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tree Turmeric interacts with.

Theoretically, tree turmeric, taken alone or in combination with milk thistle, might increase the risk of hypoglycemia in patients taking antidiabetes drugs.
Clinical research shows that taking a product containing tree turmeric and milk thistle extracts can lower blood glucose levels, glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), and insulin resistance in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those on antidiabetic agents. Additionally, clinical research suggests that berberine, a constituent of tree turmeric, can lower blood glucose levels.

Here's the simple version: Jentadueto XR already lowers your blood sugar through two medicines, linagliptin and metformin. Tree turmeric (from its berberine content) can lower blood sugar too. Stack them together and the effects can add up, which is why this is flagged as a probable interaction backed by good human research.

The main thing to watch for is your sugar dropping too low (hypoglycemia). That can feel like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, irritability, or confusion. This isn't a reason to panic, but it's worth a conversation. Please don't start tree turmeric or change your diabetes medicine on your own. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor first, and if you do use both, keeping a closer eye on your blood sugar readings is a smart move.
