Linagliptin, Metformin Hydrochloride falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tronadora interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of tronadora and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Clinical research suggests that a combination of tronadora and Guazuma ulmifolia reduce levels of fasting glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking antidiabetes agents. The effect of tronadora alone is unknown. Animal research is conflicting.

Here's the gist with Jentadueto XR (that's linagliptin plus metformin): both ingredients already work to bring your blood sugar down. Tronadora may have its own mild sugar-lowering effect, so stacking them could push your numbers lower than you want. That raises the chance of hypoglycemia, which can feel like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, a fast heartbeat, hunger, or confusion.

Honestly, the evidence here is thin. The studies that showed a real glucose drop used tronadora combined with another herb, and tronadora's effect on its own isn't well known. The animal data even disagrees with itself. So this is more of a 'keep an eye out' situation than a sure thing. If you want to try it, check your blood sugar more often and talk with your pharmacist or doctor first. Don't change your medication on your own.
