Fluoxetine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Turkey Tail Mushroom interacts with.

Theoretically, the polysaccharide peptide (PSP) component of turkey tail mushroom might inhibit CYP2C9.
Laboratory research suggests that the PSP component of turkey tail mushroom dose-dependently inhibits CYP2C9. Theoretically, taking PSP with drugs metabolized by CYP2C9 might increase drug levels and the risk of adverse effects. However, this has not been reported in humans.

Here's the basic idea with fluoxetine (Prozac) and turkey tail mushroom. Fluoxetine is partly broken down by a liver enzyme called CYP2C9. In test-tube studies, a compound in turkey tail (called PSP) seemed to slow that enzyme down. In theory, if the enzyme works slower, fluoxetine could clear a little more slowly and build up slightly, which might nudge up side effects like nausea, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or headache.

I want to be honest, though: this is very theoretical. It comes only from lab research and has never actually been reported in people, and it's rated as a minor interaction. For most folks this isn't a big concern. Still, it's worth a quick mention to your pharmacist or doctor before adding turkey tail, so they can keep an eye on how you're feeling.
