First off, Wahoo is a poisonous plant that I'd steer clear of entirely, so this combination is one I'd rather you never face. But here's the concern if both are taken together: Peri-Colace contains casanthranol, a stimulant laxative that gets your bowels moving, plus docusate, a stool softener. Wahoo also has a strong laxative effect of its own. Stack them and you can end up with too much of a good thing, meaning cramping, watery diarrhea, and fluid loss.

The bigger worry is what that diarrhea does to your potassium. Losing potassium can make Wahoo's heart-active compounds more dangerous, raising the risk of an irregular heartbeat. This is theoretical, based on how these things work, but please don't use Wahoo. Talk to your pharmacist before mixing anything with it.
