Immuno-DMG has four active ingredients designed to support immune function. Larch arabinogalactan is a fiber from the larch tree that may help with immune response.
Beta-glucans — a type of polysaccharide — and maitake PD-Fraction powder, derived from mushroom, are both included for their potential immune-supporting properties. N,N-Dimethylglycine HCl and D-Fraction round out the formula.
The tablets also contain inactive ingredients like microcrystalline cellulose, stearic acid, and silica to hold the tablet together.

Not established
The evidence for this product's ingredients is mixed. Beta-glucans are rated Likely Effective for lowering cholesterol (dyslipidemia) and supporting heart health (coronary heart disease).
However, larch arabinogalactan has Insufficient Reliable Evidence To Rate for the common cold and cholesterol — meaning studies haven't established whether it works for these uses. We hold no effectiveness ratings for D-Fraction, N,N-Dimethylglycine HCl, or the maitake component in our data, so we can't say how they perform.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Larch arabinogalactan and beta-glucans are generally well tolerated, though long-term safety data are limited for concentrated supplements. The most common side effect from larch arabinogalactan is bloating and flatulence — expected for a fiber.
Beta-glucans in food amounts are considered safe, but the safety profile of supplement doses is not well studied. One trial of children with neuroblastoma reported a single case of mild, temporary liver enzyme elevation after high-dose oral beta-glucans.
Topically applied beta-glucans cream caused mild, self-limiting skin reactions in some trial participants.

Beta-1,3-Glucan
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking beta-glucans with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Clinical research shows that taking beta-glucans may reduce systolic and diastolic blood pressure in some hypertensive individuals.
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, beta-glucans might interfere with immunosuppressive therapy.
Some clinical research shows that beta-glucans have immunostimulant effects.
Maitake PD-Fraction powder
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Clinical research shows that taking maitake mushroom polysaccharide (MMP) can lower blood glucose levels in patients with types 2 diabetes.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, combining maitake mushroom with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Animal research shows that maitake mushroom can lower blood pressure.
Warfarin (Coumadin)
There is limited evidence that maitake mushroom may increase the anticoagulant effects of warfarin.
In a case report, a patient previously stabilized on warfarin developed an elevated international normalized ratio (INR) of 5.1 after taking maitake mushroom (Grifron-Pro Maitake D-Fraction) 1 drop/kg daily in three divided doses for one week. The elevated INR resolved after holding warfarin for two days, then reducing the dose by 11%. It is thought that the beta-glucan constituent of maitake mushroom might cause warfarin dissociation from proteins, resulting in increased free warfarin levels and increased warfarin effects.
Larch tree (Larix laricina) Arabinogalactan powder
Immunosuppressants
Theoretically, larch arabinogalactan might interfere with immunosuppression therapy due to immunostimulant effects. Immunosuppressant drugs include azathioprine (Imuran), basiliximab (Simulect), cyclosporine (Neoral, Sandimmune), daclizumab (Zenapax), muromonab-CD3 (OKT3, Orthoclone OKT3), mycophenolate (CellCept), tacrolimus (FK506, Prograf), sirolimus (Rapamune), prednisone (Deltasone, Orasone), corticosteroids (glucocorticoids), and other drugs.
