Uva ursi is generally well tolerated at low doses for short-term use, but it can be toxic at high doses or with prolonged use; diarrhea, nausea, stomach upset, and vomiting are common at standard doses, and very high doses (30 grams or more) have been reported to be fatal. Dandelion is generally well tolerated as food but may cause diarrhea, heartburn, and stomach discomfort at supplement strength; allergic reactions including anaphylaxis are rare but possible.

Parsley at normal food amounts is safe, but concentrated extracts and large doses can cause serious effects at very high intakes.
