Probiotic 30 Billion Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by KLEENIQ
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic 30 Billion against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 10 active ingredients: six species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium bacteria, plus Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus coagulans — all live probiotic strains that work in your gut. They're suspended in inactive ingredients including vegetable cellulose, rice dextrin, and medium-chain triglycerides, which serve as fillers and carriers in the capsule.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The data we have shows mixed evidence across the strains. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bacillus coagulans are both marked possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), while Bacillus coagulans also shows possibly effective for constipation.
Lactobacillus acidophilus is possibly effective for antibiotic-associated diarrhea, Helicobacter pylori infection, and bacterial vaginosis. For most other conditions — athletic performance, diabetes, eczema, anxiety, asthma — the evidence is currently insufficient to say whether these strains help.
Bifidobacterium breve is marked possibly ineffective for age-related cognitive decline and sepsis.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
The checked strains are generally well tolerated in healthy adults, though quality and safety vary by product and strain. The safety data are limited, so your doctor should weigh in before you use this if you're seriously ill or have a weakened immune system.
Rare side effects reported in trials include headache, diarrhea, gastrointestinal discomfort (bloating, gas, abdominal pain), and one case of dry cough. There have been rare reports of infection (bacteremia, sepsis) in critically ill or immunocompromised patients, particularly infants — this underscores why immunocompromised people should check with their doctor first.
For pregnancy and breastfeeding: we have a possibly safe rating for Bifidobacterium longum, but for the other checked strains the pregnancy and lactation data on file are incomplete. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you during pregnancy or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you start, check whether you're taking any antibiotic drugs. All five of the probiotic strains we checked — Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, and Bifidobacterium breve — carry a Moderate interaction risk with antibiotics.
Taking them at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of the probiotics. Space them out and ask your pharmacist for the best timing.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This probiotic blend is generally well tolerated in healthy people and shows promise for IBS, constipation, and certain types of diarrhea. If you take antibiotics, you'll want to time this product separately from your doses — ask us how far apart to space them.
Anyone who's seriously ill, has a weakened immune system, or is pregnant or breastfeeding should talk to their doctor first. Run your medication list through the checker below to make sure none of your prescriptions are affected.

Probiotic 30 Billion by KLEENIQ Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
KLEENIQ Probiotic 30 Billion contains six probiotic bacteria strains, five of which we have interaction data for.
The most serious finding involves antibiotic drugs: taking this product at the same time as antibiotics may reduce how well the probiotics work. Because these are live organisms, antibiotics can kill them off before they establish themselves.
The affected strains are Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus coagulans, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium longum, and Bifidobacterium breve — all carry a Moderate severity rating for this interaction.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Additionally, three ingredients — Lactobacillus salivarius, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Lactobacillus casei, and Bifidobacterium animalis lactis — we could not check because we don't hold interaction data for them. That doesn't mean they're safe with all medications; it just means we haven't reviewed them yet.
Additionally, no interactions are documented in our data for any of the checked strains beyond the antibiotic concern. Altogether, these interactions span 182 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to verify your specific prescriptions before you start.
