Test Charge is a liquid supplement with 25 ingredients. The ones with documented effects are zeaxanthin (a carotenoid antioxidant for eye health), quercetin (a flavonoid), beta-sitosterol (a plant sterol), and daucosterol (also a plant sterol).
The product also contains several blend containers — phytosterols, carotenoids, lignans, a proprietary blend, and flavonoids — whose individual components are listed separately on the label. Inactive ingredients include water, glycerine, citric acid, natural flavors, and potassium sorbate.
Does it work?
Not established
Zeaxanthin is possibly effective for age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of vision loss in older adults. For age-related cognitive decline, Alzheimer disease, asthma, breast cancer, and bronchopulmonary dysplasia, the evidence isn't established in the data we hold.
Beta-sitosterol and daucosterol are likely effective for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and possibly effective for familial high cholesterol and coronary heart disease. For quercetin, evidence is insufficient to rate it for the conditions listed in our data, and it appears possibly ineffective for athletic performance.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Zeaxanthin is generally well tolerated at typical supplement amounts. Food sources are fine, but supplement safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding hasn't been well studied — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice.
Beta-sitosterol and daucosterol are generally well tolerated short-term but lack adequate safety data in pregnancy and breastfeeding, so supplemental use is best avoided during those times. Common side effects from beta-sitosterol and daucosterol include constipation, diarrhea, gas, indigestion, and nausea; there's also a single case report of acute pancreatitis linked to beta-sitosterol.
Quercetin can cause headache and tingling in hands or feet when taken orally; high doses and long-term safety haven't been well studied, and supplement doses should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Quercetin also has Moderate interactions with several other drug types: antidiabetes medications (a risk of low blood sugar), cholesterol-lowering drugs like pravastatin, blood pressure medications including losartan, immune-suppressing drugs like cyclosporine, antibiotics in the quinolone family, sulfasalazine (an anti-inflammatory), and mitoxantrone (a chemotherapy agent). Zeaxanthin adds a separate Moderate interaction with antidiabetes drugs, again raising the theoretical risk of low blood sugar.
