Here's the gist with Primidone and andiroba oil. Some compounds in andiroba seem to nudge the same calming brain receptors (GABA-A) that Primidone works through. In theory, stacking the two could add up and make Primidone's sedating side effects more noticeable, things like drowsiness, dizziness, unsteadiness, or feeling foggy.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. This idea comes only from animal and lab studies, not from people, and it's rated minor and unlikely. Most folks use andiroba on the skin, where very little gets into the body, so a meaningful interaction is improbable. Still, since Primidone is a seizure medicine, please run any internal or heavy use of andiroba past your pharmacist or doctor first.

What Is Primidone Used For?

Brand name: Mysoline

Primidone tablets — sold as Mysoline or under the generic name primidone — are used to control seizures in people with epilepsy. Both Mysoline and primidone tablets are approved for grand mal (generalized tonic-clonic), psychomotor, and focal (partial) epileptic seizures.

Primidone can be used alone or alongside other anti-seizure medicines. It may also help control grand mal seizures that haven't responded well to other anticonvulsant treatments.
