Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS
Why this applies to Rescinnamine
Rescinnamine falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Andrographis interacts with.
Animal research suggests that andrographis has hypotensive effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Rescinnamine (Moderil) is an older blood pressure medicine that works by lowering the activity of certain nerve signals, which relaxes your vessels and brings pressure down. Here's the thing to keep in mind: andrographis may also have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own. Stack the two together and, in theory, your pressure could dip lower than intended.
If that happened, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or faint, especially when standing up quickly. I want to be honest though: this concern comes only from animal and lab research, not human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Please don't stop or change either one on your own. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor first so they can keep an eye on your numbers.

This page covers Andrographis only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Rescinnamine page lists 136 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), American Hellebore (major), American Mistletoe (major), Tyramine (major) and Adrafinil (moderate).
By severity: 4 major · 111 moderate · 21 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Rescinnamine page
“American hellebore is the entry I would flag first for anyone taking rescinnamine (Moderil). Even small amounts of the herb drop blood pressure sharply and can slow the heart, and rescinnamine is already working to bring pressure down.”

About Andrographis
What is Andrographis?
- Common cold and flu symptoms
- Upper respiratory infections
- Sore throat
- Fever
- Immune support
- Digestive complaints
Andrographis is a bitter Asian herb traditionally used for colds, flu, and infections, and some studies suggest it may ease cold symptoms and shorten how long they last. The evidence is limited and the quality of studies varies, so it should not replace standard care. Talk to your pharmacist or doctor before using it, and avoid it during pregnancy.

Rescinnamine Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Rescinnamine as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Andrographis — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
