Alogliptin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of Baikal skullcap with antidiabetes drugs might enhance blood glucose lowering effects.
Baicalein, a constituent of Baikal skullcap, has alpha-glucosidase inhibitory activity in vitro. Animal research also suggests that Baikal skullcap enhances the antidiabetic effects of metformin. However, in a small human study, taking Baikal skullcap extract did not enhance the antidiabetic effects of metformin, although it did modestly lower glucose levels during an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT). Until more is known, use cautiously.

Kazano combines two diabetes medicines, alogliptin and metformin, that work to bring your blood sugar down. The thinking here is that Baikal skullcap might add a little extra glucose-lowering on top of what your Kazano already does. One of its plant compounds, baicalein, can slow sugar absorption in lab tests, and animal studies hinted it boosts metformin. That said, a small human study didn't show a real added benefit, just a modest dip in sugar during a glucose challenge.

So this is mostly theoretical and on the gentle side. Still, if your blood sugar drifted too low, you could feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, or confused. If you'd like to try the herb, please check with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your readings.
