These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Baikal Skullcap interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Baikal Skullcap in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine
Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine falls under CYTOCHROME P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) SUBSTRATES — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.
In vitro evidence suggests that constituents of Baikal skullcap inhibit the activity of CYP1A2. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
This combo pill contains caffeine, and caffeine is mostly cleared by a liver enzyme called CYP1A2. In lab studies, compounds in Baikal skullcap (like baicalin and baicalein) appear to slow that enzyme down. If that happened in your body, caffeine could hang around a bit longer and build up, which might mean more jitteriness, a racing or pounding heart, trouble sleeping, or feeling on edge.
The honest part: this is only seen in test-tube research, not in real people, so it's theoretical. The aspirin and orphenadrine parts aren't the main concern here. Still, if you notice extra jitters or palpitations, that's worth mentioning. Before adding this herb, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Caffeine, Orphenadrine also falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS.
Preliminary clinical research suggests that taking capsules containing a combination of astragalus, goldthread, and Baikal skullcap daily for 4 weeks inhibits platelet aggregation; the effect seems to be similar to that of aspirin 50 mg daily. It is unclear if this effect is due to Baikal skullcap, other ingredients, or the combination.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The combo you're asking about contains aspirin, which already thins your blood a little by keeping platelets from clumping. Baikal skullcap may do something similar on its own, so the worry here is that the two together could nudge your bleeding risk a bit higher than aspirin alone. Think easier bruising, longer bleeding from small cuts, nosebleeds, or stomach upset and irritation.
I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's theoretical, drawn mostly from lab work and one small study using a blend of herbs, not skullcap by itself. So it's a reason to be cautious, not alarmed. If you take this product regularly or have any bleeding concerns, check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding the herb.
