It might also interfere with the activity of pressor drugs. Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Levamlodipine (Conjupri) is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes your blood vessels to bring your blood pressure down. Here's the concern with betony: some of its natural plant compounds may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of their own. If you take both, those effects could stack on top of each other, so your pressure might dip lower than expected.

In real life, that could show up as feeling lightheaded, dizzy, tired, or a bit unsteady when you stand up quickly. I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how betony might act, not from solid human studies. It's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor, especially if you check your blood pressure at home and notice it running low.
