Here's the simple version: betony is thought to have a mild blood-pressure-lowering quality of its own. Nebivolol already lowers your blood pressure and slows your heart rate, so pairing the two could stack those effects and push your numbers down a little too far.

If that happens, you might feel lightheaded, dizzy, unusually tired, or notice your heartbeat feeling slow, especially when you stand up quickly. I want to be honest about the evidence though: this is only a theoretical concern based on betony's plant compounds, not something proven in real studies. So don't panic. Just give your pharmacist or doctor a heads-up before combining them, and it's smart to check your blood pressure at home if you do.
