It might also interfere with the activity of pressor drugs. Some antihypertensive drugs include captopril (Capoten), enalapril (Vasotec), losartan (Cozaar), valsartan (Diovan), diltiazem (Cardizem), Amlodipine (Norvasc), hydrochlorothiazide (HydroDiuril), furosemide (Lasix), and many others.

Here's the simple version: Azilsartan (Edarbi) already lowers your blood pressure, and betony may have a mild blood-pressure-lowering effect of its own. Put them together and those effects could stack up. That might leave you feeling dizzy, lightheaded, or unusually tired, especially when you stand up quickly.

I want to be honest about how strong this concern is. It's theoretical, based on the plant chemistry of betony rather than real studies in people, so we don't actually know how often it causes trouble. Still, since blood pressure is something worth keeping steady, it's smart to check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and to mention any dizziness you notice. Please don't stop or change your Edarbi on your own.

What Is Azilsartan Used For?

Brand name: Edarbi

Azilsartan medoxomil tablets — sold as both the generic Azilsartan Medoxomil and the brand Edarbi — are approved to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. Bringing blood pressure down lowers the risk of serious cardiovascular events, especially stroke and heart attack.

The medication can be used on its own or alongside other blood pressure medicines. It is not a cure for high blood pressure, and managing the condition fully often involves lifestyle steps like limiting sodium, exercising, and quitting smoking.
