Simvastatin, Sitagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Bupleurum interacts with.

Theoretically, bupleurum might decrease the effects of antidiabetes drugs.
Animal research suggests that saikosaponins, constituents of bupleurum, can increase blood glucose.

Juvisync is a combo pill: simvastatin lowers cholesterol, and sitagliptin helps control blood sugar in type 2 diabetes. The concern here is with the sitagliptin half. In animal studies, the saikosaponins in bupleurum nudged blood sugar upward. So in theory, this herb could work against sitagliptin and make your numbers a little harder to keep in range.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It is theoretical and based only on animal research, not human studies, so it may not matter much in real life. Still, if you take bupleurum and notice higher readings or more thirst and frequent urination, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.
