Here's the simple version: ertugliflozin (Steglatro) already lowers your blood sugar by pushing extra glucose out through your urine. The dream herb, Calea zacatechichi, may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own, at least based on animal studies. Stack the two together and, in theory, your sugar could dip a little lower than expected. That's why this is flagged as a possible, minor interaction.

To be clear, this is a theoretical concern, not something proven in people. With a drug like ertugliflozin, low blood sugar is uncommon by itself but more likely if you also take insulin or a sulfonylurea. Watch for shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or confusion. Before adding this herb, please check with your pharmacist or doctor so you can keep an eye on your numbers.
