Here's the gist with Metaglip (the combo of glipizide and metformin): this medicine already pushes your blood sugar down, and glipizide in particular can sometimes drop it too low. In animal studies, the dream herb also seemed to lower blood sugar a bit. So the worry is simple addition. Stack the two and your sugar could dip lower than you intend.

I want to be honest though, this is a theoretical concern. We don't have solid human data, only lab and animal hints, so it's far from a sure thing. If you do try both, just keep an eye out for low-sugar signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling foggy, and check your glucose. Before adding this herb, run it past your pharmacist or doctor first.
