Aripiprazole falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Chlorophyllin interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chlorophyllin with photosensitizing drugs may have additive effects.
Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been reported to cause photosensitization. Orally, chlorophyll has also been associated with the development of pseudoporphyria in multiple case reports.

Here's the thing about pairing chlorophyllin with aripiprazole (Abilify): this isn't about how your body breaks the drug down. Instead, it's a skin issue. Aripiprazole can occasionally make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, and chlorophyllin has been reported to do the same thing. Put them together and those effects may simply add up, so you could sunburn faster or develop a rash on sun-exposed skin.

I want to be honest that this concern is largely theoretical and rests on case reports, not strong studies. It's not a reason to panic. If you take both, just be smart in the sun: use sunscreen, wear a hat, and cover up. And before starting chlorophyllin, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

Aripiprazole treats several mental health conditions. It is approved for schizophrenia, acute manic and mixed episodes of Bipolar I Disorder, and as an add-on to antidepressants for Major Depressive Disorder.
