Hydroxyzine falls under PHOTOSENSITIZING DRUGS — the group Chlorophyllin interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of chlorophyllin with photosensitizing drugs may have additive effects.
Chlorophyllin is a semi-synthetic derivative of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll has been reported to cause photosensitization. Orally, chlorophyll has also been associated with the development of pseudoporphyria in multiple case reports.

Here's the thing to know about pairing chlorophyllin with hydroxyzine: this isn't about how your body breaks the medicine down. Hydroxyzine isn't a prodrug, and chlorophyllin doesn't speed up or slow down its clearance. The concern here is about your skin and sunlight. Chlorophyllin can make some people more sensitive to the sun, and certain medicines are grouped as photosensitizing, so the worry is simply an additive effect: a slightly higher chance of sunburn or a rash on sun-exposed skin.

I'll be honest, this is mostly theoretical and based on limited reports, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Just be sun-smart, use sunscreen, and cover up if you're outside a lot. If you notice unusual burning, blistering, or a rash, check in with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

The best evidence is for its use as a deodorizing agent, while many popular claims like detoxification and digestive benefits are not well proven. About Hydroxyzine

What Is Hydroxyzine Used For?

Brand names: Atarax, Vistaril, Ucerax

Hydroxyzine is used to relieve anxiety and tension related to psychoneurosis (anxiety-based mental health conditions) and as a supportive treatment when anxiety is part of another medical condition. Oral forms — including tablets, capsules, and oral solution — are used for anxiety relief and to manage itching (pruritus) caused by allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria (hives), atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and histamine-driven itch. Oral forms are also used as a sedative before and after surgery or general anesthesia.

Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride intramuscular injection is used specifically when a shot is needed — for example, in acute psychiatric or emotional emergencies, acute alcohol withdrawal with anxiety symptoms or delirium tremens, control of nausea and vomiting (except during pregnancy), and as pre- and post-operative or pre- and post-partum supportive medication to reduce narcotic requirements and control nausea.
