Aspirin, Hydrocodone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES — the group Cinchona interacts with.

Theoretically, taking cinchona might inhibit cytochrome P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) and increase levels of drugs metabolized by this enzyme.
Quinidine, a constituent of cinchona, inhibits CYP2D6-mediated metabolism in humans.

Here's the wrinkle with this combo. The hydrocodone in your Lortab ASA is a prodrug of sorts. Your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to convert part of it into hydromorphone, a more potent painkiller. Cinchona bark contains quinidine, which is a well-known blocker of that same enzyme. So in theory, cinchona could slow that conversion and you might get less pain relief than expected from the hydrocodone side.

I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on how these compounds behave, not something proven in patients. The aspirin part isn't really affected. Cinchona bark is risky on its own, so before using it, please check with your pharmacist or doctor.

Theoretically, taking cinchona might increase the drug effects and risk of bleeding with anticoagulant and antiplatelet drugs.
In vitro evidence shows that the alkaloids quinine, quinidine, and cinchonine, constituents of cinchona, inhibit platelet aggregation.

The product you're asking about pairs aspirin with hydrocodone. The aspirin part is the piece that matters here. Aspirin already thins your blood by keeping platelets from clumping together. Cinchona bark contains quinine-type compounds that, in lab studies, seem to do something similar and slow platelets down too.

Put them together and, at least in theory, you could bleed a little more easily. Think along the lines of easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop. I want to be honest though: this is based on test-tube data, not real patient reports, so it's more of a caution than a sure thing. Since cinchona supplements are unpredictable anyway, run it by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
