Here's the thing to keep in mind with corn silk and aliskiren (Tekturna). Corn silk seems to have a mild blood pressure lowering effect of its own. Since aliskiren is already working to relax your blood vessels and bring your numbers down, stacking the two could push your blood pressure lower than intended.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or wobbly when you stand up quickly. This concern is based mostly on how these things work and some early human studies, so it's a possible, moderate issue rather than a sure thing. Occasional corn silk tea is less of a worry than concentrated extract doses. Before combining them, just check in with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your blood pressure at home.

Aliskiren and Tekturna tablets are both approved to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and in children who are at least 6 years old and weigh 50 kg (about 110 lbs) or more. Lowering high blood pressure reduces the risk of serious events like strokes and heart attacks.
