Here's the gist with this combo. Your medication includes dihydrocodeine, an opioid pain reliever that already slows down the brain and body. Corydalis yanhusuo may have its own calming, sedative-like effects on the nervous system. Stack the two together and those effects could add up, leaving you more drowsy, dizzy, or foggy than usual. In rare cases, opioids combined with other sedating substances can slow your breathing, so this isn't something to brush off entirely.
That said, this concern is theoretical, drawn mostly from animal studies rather than solid human data, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, since dihydrocodeine is an opioid, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before pairing them, and never adjust your medication on your own.

CYTOCHROME P450 2D6 (CYP2D6) SUBSTRATES

Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro research and preliminary clinical evidence show that berberine can inhibit CYP2D6. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2D6.

Here's the wrinkle with this combo. The dihydrocodeine in your pain medicine is a prodrug, meaning your body uses an enzyme called CYP2D6 to turn it into its stronger, active painkilling form. Corydalis yanhusuo may slow that same enzyme down. So in theory, less of the drug gets activated, which could mean weaker pain relief than you expect.
I want to be honest about the evidence here: this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not strong human studies, so it may not amount to much in real life. The acetaminophen and caffeine parts aren't really affected. Still, before pairing these, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor so they can keep an eye on whether your pain stays controlled.

Here's the gist for your Panlor (acetaminophen, caffeine, dihydrocodeine). Corydalis may mildly slow down a liver enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the pathways your body uses to clear dihydrocodeine and caffeine. If that clearance slows, a bit more of the medicine could linger in your system. With the dihydrocodeine part, that might mean stronger opioid effects like extra drowsiness, dizziness, constipation, or slowed breathing. The caffeine could leave you feeling more jittery or wired.
I want to be honest though: this is a theoretical concern based on lab work, not solid human studies, so the real-world risk is probably small. Still, since both the herb and dihydrocodeine can make you sleepy, please run this past your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
