Anagrelide falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase the risk of bleeding when used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. In vitro and in vivo research suggest that berberine can inhibit platelet aggregation. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit platelet aggregation.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with this combo. Anagrelide already lowers your platelet count and can slightly reduce how well your platelets clump together to stop bleeding. Corydalis contains compounds (including berberine) that, at least in lab and animal studies, may also make platelets less sticky. Stack those two effects and you could, in theory, raise your overall bleeding risk a little.

I want to be honest about the evidence though: this concern comes from test tube and animal research, not solid human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, watch for easy bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or cuts that take longer to stop. Anagrelide isn't a prodrug, so this is about adding effects, not changing how it's activated. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

What Is Anagrelide Used For?

Brand name: Agrylin

Anagrelide — sold as Agrylin and as generic anagrelide capsules — is used to treat thrombocythemia secondary to myeloproliferative neoplasms. That means it's prescribed when a bone marrow disorder causes the body to produce too many platelets, raising the risk of dangerous blood clots.

By bringing platelet counts down to a safer range, anagrelide also helps reduce related symptoms, including bleeding and clotting events (thrombo-hemorrhagic events).
