Estazolam (Prosom) is a benzodiazepine sleep aid that already calms your brain to help you drift off. The concern with Corydalis yanhusuo is that some of its natural compounds may have their own mild sedating, calming action. Stacking two things that slow the nervous system can add up, so the worry here is too much sedation rather than the medicine not working.

In real life that could mean feeling extra drowsy, groggy, dizzy, or unsteady the next morning, and possibly more trouble with memory or focus. Keep in mind this is a theoretical interaction based mostly on lab and animal data, not strong human studies, so it may be modest. Still, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and don't change your estazolam on your own.

What Is Estazolam Used For?

Estazolam tablets are used for the short-term management of insomnia — specifically trouble falling asleep, waking up frequently during the night, and waking too early in the morning.

Because insomnia is often temporary, long-term use of estazolam is generally not recommended. If sleep problems last beyond 7–10 days of treatment, a doctor should evaluate whether an underlying medical or psychiatric condition is causing them.
