Here's the simple version: both estazolam and GHB are heavy brakes on your brain and nervous system. Estazolam is a benzodiazepine that already slows brain activity to help you sleep. GHB does the same thing through a different route. Stack them together and those calming effects pile on top of each other.

That combined slowdown is the real danger. You could see extreme drowsiness, confusion, trouble staying awake, and most worrying, breathing that becomes too slow or shallow. At its worst this can mean unconsciousness or stopped breathing. This warning is based on real-world reports rather than formal studies, but the risk is serious enough that I'd never recommend combining them. Please talk with your doctor or pharmacist before mixing anything like this.

GHB (gamma-hydroxybutyrate) is a powerful central nervous system depressant that is NOT a safe dietary supplement. In the U.S. it is a controlled substance, and only a tightly regulated prescription form (sodium oxybate) is legal for narcolepsy. Non-prescription GHB can cause coma, breathing failure, and death, and it is also a known 'date-rape' drug — it should not be taken outside of medical supervision.

What Is Estazolam Used For?

Brand name: Prosom

Estazolam tablets are used for the short-term management of insomnia — specifically trouble falling asleep, waking up frequently during the night, and waking too early in the morning.

Because insomnia is often temporary, long-term use of estazolam is generally not recommended. If sleep problems last beyond 7–10 days of treatment, a doctor should evaluate whether an underlying medical or psychiatric condition is causing them.
