Lumiracoxib falls under CYTOCHROME P450 2C9 (CYP2C9) SUBSTRATES — the group Corydalis Yanhusuo interacts with.

Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might increase serum levels of drugs metabolized by CYP2C9.
Corydalis yanhusuo contains berberine. Preliminary clinical research shows that berberine can inhibit CYP2C9. Theoretically, Corydalis yanhusuo might also inhibit CYP2C9.

Here's the simple version. Your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP2C9 to break down Lumiracoxib, an anti-inflammatory pain reliever (a COX-2 inhibitor). Corydalis contains berberine, which lab and early human research suggests can slow that same enzyme down. If the enzyme works slower, Lumiracoxib may clear out of your body less efficiently and build up a bit higher than usual.

What that could mean in real life is a greater chance of the typical NSAID-type side effects, like stomach upset, fluid retention, raised blood pressure, or in rare cases liver or kidney strain. Keep in mind this is theoretical, based on how these compounds behave, not proven in people taking them together. Concentrated supplement doses matter more than tiny amounts. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
